GRP - Glass Reinforced Plastic (fibreglass) flat roofs are the way forward.

Fibreglass has been around since the 1950's, being used for many applications, one use was on boats. The majority of these very same boats are still intact and show very little in way of deterioration. Because of this, the exact life expectancy of fibreglass is unknown, only time will tell. To say it will last from 30 years plus is still being very conservative.
